Q-Circo é um projeto comunitário que procura o empoderamento de jovens em situação vulnerável através da participação artística acompanhada de técnicas sociais. Nesta apresentação assistimos ao resultado do segundo de três anos de trabalho onde os jovens tomam o protagonismo e se apresentam à sociedade. Uma viagem que começa no Centro Educativo Santo António, parte de autocarro ao Centro de Reabilitação da Areosa e regressa com a questão o queremos deixar no mundo. Q-Circo é um projeto apoiado pela Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e pela Fundação “la Caixa” através da iniciativa PARTIS & Arts For Change escrito em parceria entre a Erva Daninha, Centro Social Soutelo e a Fundação Salesianos. O ponto de partida para o espetáculo é no Centro Educativo Santo António junto ao metro da Lapa, o Trengo garante as viagens de ida ao Centro de Reabilitação da Areosa e o regresso ao ponto de partida.
Q-Circo is a community project that seeks the empowerment of young people in vulnerable situations through artistic participation accompanied by social techniques. In this presentation we watch the result of the second of three years of work where young people take the leading role and introduce themselves to society. A trip that begins at the Centro Educativo Santo António, leaves by bus to the Centro Reabilitação da Areosa and returns with the issue we want to leave it in the world. Q-Circo is a project supported by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and the “La Caixa” Foundation through the PARTIS & Arts For Change initiative written in partnership between Erva Daninha, Centro Social Soutelo and the Salesianos Foundation. The starting point for the show is at the Centro Educativo Santo António next to the Lapa metro of Porto, the Trengo guarantees the outward trips to the Centro Reabilitação da Areosa and the return to the starting point.

Este espetáculo começa no Centro Educativo Santo António (R. do Melo, 6, Porto) e vai até ao Centro de Reabilitação da Areosa (R. Dom Afonso Henriques, no 549 Rio Tinto) com regresso ao Centro Educativo Santo António no final. O transporte entre os dois locais será feito de autocarro, viagem gratuita assegurada pelo projeto. Propomos estacionamento de viaturas no Parque da Lapa (R. do Melo)
This show begins at the Centro Educativo Santo António (R. do Melo,n 6, Porto) and goes to the Centro Reabilitação da Areosa (R. Dom Afonso Henriques, n 549 Rio Tinto) with return to the Centro Educativo Santo António at the end. Transportation between the two locations will be made by bus, a free trip ensured by the project. Era uma vez.. muitos pequenos ciborgues que alegravam a vida das meninas, permitindo-lhes imaginar todos os mundos, lugares e momentos possíveis que essas criaturas inanimadas poderiam materializar e viver. Há a Morgana: uma rapariga inteligente que acorda de manhã cedo à espera que os pais acordem, para fazer o que todas as crianças fazem (e quase nenhum adulto faz): brincar! Era uma vez… E há as Barbies: companheiras de brincadeira, companheiras de imaginação, parceiras de aventuras possíveis e impossíveis, que nesta situação absurda assumem todos os papéis que eu quiser… São as minhas amigas, os meus duplos, o meu público, os meus inimigos, as colheres para a minha Nutella, os meus superpoderes, as minhas balas… Um convite para imitar o que nos rodeia, analisar e depois seguir o nosso próprio caminho e experimentar. Aceitar os inputs externos para nos criarmos a nós próprios. Quebrar-se e consertar-se, sempre em frente, numa mudança contínua e infinita. Um jogo sobre o corpo e um corpo que joga: ruturas e reconstruções, desconstruções e ilusões. Um universo que ganha vida, transforma-se e transforma quem o encontra, tirando e dando algo, devolvendo vida a partes de nós esquecidas ou timidamente enferrujadas. Um convite para fazermos o que quisermos conosco e com o nosso corpo!
There were once a lot of little cyborgs that brightened the lives of little girls, allowing them to imagine all the possible worlds, places, and moments that those inanimate creatures could materialize and experience. There’s Morgana: a smart girl who wakes up early in the morning waiting for her parents to wake up, doing what all children do (and almost no adult): play! Once upon a time… And there are the Barbies: playmates, imagination companions, possible and impossible adventure partners, who in this absurd situation take on all the roles I want them to… They are my friends, my doubles, my audience, my enemies, the spoons for my Nutella, my superpowers, my bullets… An invitation to imitate what surrounds us, analyze it, and then take our own path and experiment. Accept external input to create oneself. Breaking and fixing oneself, always moving forward, in continuous and infinite change. A game on the body and a body that plays: breaks and reconstructions, deconstructions and illusions. A universe that comes to life, changes itself, and changes anyone who encounters it, taking and giving something, giving life back to parts of us forgotten or timidly rusted. An invitation to do whatever we want with ourselves and our bodies!

Uma aula onde aprendemos a construir e criar uma prática de movimento a partir do uso de arneses no ar, no chão e entre si. Focando em como a suspensão é gerada pelo nosso corpo através do movimento e da interpretação do espaço e dos objetos ao nosso redor.
A class where we learn how to build and create a movement practice from the use of harnesses in the air, in the floor and between each other. Focusing on how suspension is generated in our body through movement and the interpretation of the space and objects around us.
Eleonora é uma artista aérea e de movimento italiana que cresceu na América Latina desde tenra idade. Ela é bacharel em Circo Contemporâneo pela National Circus School, em Inglaterra (Circus Space), Master em Circo Contemporâneo pela DOCH University of the Arts, em Estocolmo e graduada em Mídia e Comunicação, pela Universidade do Panamá. Eleonora é diretora do el Cuarto Rojo, o primeiro espaço/estúdio de circo no Panamá, onde ensina disciplinas aéreas e circenses desde 2012, e também é diretora do Panama Aérea e da Plataforma Circo, 2 laboratórios que visam explorar pesquisa e desenvolvimento em criação numa gama diversificada de disciplinas circenses.
Eleonora is an Italian aerial and movement artist who has been raised up in Latin America since an early age. She held a BA Honors degree in Contemporary Circus from the National Circus School in England (Circus Space) a Master in Contemporary Circus from DOCH University of the Arts in Stockholm, and a Degree in Media and Communication from the University of Panama. Eleonora is the director of el Cuarto Rojo, the first circus space/studio in Panama where she teaches aerial and circus disciplines since 2012, and she is also the director of Panama Aérea and Plataforma Circo, 2 labs that aim to explore research and development into creation across a diverse range of circus disciplines.

As mesmas voltas que protegem o meu espaço pessoal, protegem-te. E então? Até onde eu avanço? Onde nos encontramos? The turns that apparently do not allow me to move forward are the same ones that show my axis. They say that the hula hoop is the size of the aura. The same turns that protect my personal space, protect you. And then? How far do I go? Where can we meet?

Estamos a organizar o primeiro “Empurrão” – um encontro entre artistas locais e programadores no âmbito do Trengo festival de circo. Esta sessão em que os artistas vão apresentar os seus projetos num formato expositivo e descontraído, tem como objetivo dar a conhecer projetos com potencial de circulação já estreados, que estreiam este ano ou no ano seguinte. / We are organizing the first “Purrão” – a meeting between local artists and programmers within the framework of the Trengo circus festival. This session in which the artists will present their projects in an exhibition and relaxed format, aims to publicize projects with circulation potential already debuted, which will premiere this year or the following year.
