It is an annual programme that seeks to foster new creations which bring the circus closer to current aesthetic trends. In addition to the festival open to the public, Estufa offers a range of support measures for artistic creation that help to consolidate projects — funding, artist residencies, publicity, production, training, lighting, video, photography and technical support, amongst others. In 2026, it brings to a close a cycle comprising nine editions and 27 new creations by artists of different techniques, perspectives, backgrounds, ages and genders. This final edition features three perspectives on balance and the manipulation of objects:

NOCAUTE – INÊS PINHO

NOCAUTE accompanies two presences that share the same space without ever meeting directly. The project develops through a monodisciplinary soil, using the practice of the roll-ball as a form of expression. “What is balance?” Is the question that motivates this project. Depending on the approach, balance can be understood as a negotiation of forces between extremities. Despite its stability, it is always circumstantial and tension is an element that is always inherent in its existence. This work explores the concept through practice, seeking to understand it to recognize it in other contexts.

ALBATROZ – VASCO GOMES

A silver tremor, a cascade of shimmering leaves and, in the background, an albatross taking flight.
